2008 International Peace Festival
'Tuia te kawe tairanga te kawe oi te kawe o te haere'
Greetings Everyone
The proverb invokes a unison of us, like an out stretched sash swaying with the gait
of one walk as we move forward towards a new horizon and to our Parihaka 08 festival Event.
Festival Kaupapa (Themes)
Parihaka 08 will be an enriching cultural, artistic and organic experience. The
kaupapa being developed for events at our festival are Eco Responsibility,
Justice and Peace [vehicles of dialogue and action]. Our goal is zero waste
management and organic sustainable lifestyles.
Parihaka 08 will present the founders of permaculture and leading NZ
scientists at the forums to address Global warming and the impact of
it on world economies and lifestyle.
We are encouraging whanau [family] activities by introducing new events.
A special Family Camp has been set-aside in preparation for you [please
book early as there are limited sites available].
